We had a great time at Mon Choisy Beach Resort. The room exceeded our expectations. It was nice having an outdoor space with a table and chairs where we often enjoyed a game of cards, a sundowner or a nightcap. We could have used the kitchen more but after all, we were on holiday. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, especially Sanjay and Fatima in reception and Sheilla, who serviced our room daily. There are several food shacks on Mon Choisy beach and half a dozen restaurants just a short bus/taxi ride away. There are also three restaurants within walking distance plus several hotel restaurants open to non-guests. The bar at the hotel next door (Mystik 36) is a great spot for a sundowner, though the prices are not the cheapest. If you don't have a car then you'll have no problem picking up a taxi or just jumping on a local bus. It was very convenient being able to buy bottled water from reception rather than having to carry it from the supermarket in Grande Baie.

This does everything it says on the tin, I saw some reviews where people complained about there being no bar/resturant which is silly because it doesn't say it has one and doesn't need it. We stayed in a sea view room and it was lovely, cleaned everyday, good size fridge and small kitchen. We had done one week in the south with a car prior to staying and this was our chill week. A car would have been handy but we managed to get the bus to and from the supermarket. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and food available on the beach for lunch. If any of you are dog lovers, like me and fancy giving some nice dogs some treats then if you exit the hotel near the pool straight onto the beach and go right at the front of the temple there is a mum dog and her pups who are about 6 months they are always left fresh water but the loved the treats and tickles 😊

The hotel is comfortable, beautiful area, nice pool, you can't swim in the ocean right in front of the hotel, but it's not a problem, because nearby are probably the best beaches in Mauritius, Mont Choisy and Trou aux Biches, 5 and 20 minutes walk. The staff is very hospitable, polite, I especially liked the daily impeccable cleaning of the room. The hotel has free parking on site, if there are not enough places, then there is a public one nearby. Breakfast is available for 9Euro per person. There are not enough cafes, restaurants, shops nearby, it is better to go by car, in general, in this hotel you need a car to relax comfortably, but there are taxi services, public buses. Also, one of the disadvantages for me was unstable WIFI for office programs, I needed to work and it was a little annoying, but this is my situation, for texting and calls its enough.

We had an amazing stay at Mon Choisy Beach Resort. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool area is lovely and looks out to sea. It's a lovely quiet area minutes from the beach. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance and getting taxi's to other busier areas is easy enough. Would recommend going to the Super U in Grand Baie for supermarket needs which is a short bus or cab ride. What makes this hotel great is the amazing staff. We would like to say a special thank you to the maids that helped dress us in our traditional wedding outfits and looked after us whilst we were there. Cindy was great and helped us with booking excursions, answering questions and arranging a car from before we arrived in Mauritius. A massive thank you to the best reception team Fatima, Trishna and Sanjay who helped us so many times! We miss you all already!

- very clean rooms and pool area. - we had the sea view room - the view was lovely. - adequate kitchen for self-catering. We made omelets / scrambled eggs ourselves. - in July sunbeds available at all times. - a very peaceful and quiet pool area. (I have active children, so I was a bit worried that they caused too much noise..., however, nobody complained, most were wearing head phones) - the breakfast - though a bit pricey - was nice with the following for per person: coffee/tea; croissant, pain au chocolate, white bread with jam and butter, yogurt, fruit bowl. What you do not get is any kind of warm food (e.g. eggs, pancakes, bacon) nor cheese / cold cut meat. You can order it for 8-10 am. We requested to have it earlier, e.g. 7.30, which could not be accommodated. However, we actually got it at 07.40.
